At last the butterfly emerges. My polished concrete papillon has found herself in the wilderness that is life. Many years as a chrysalis have confused her, but now she may fly away (if she wishes).
Inlaid glass, mirror and stone have been ground and polished, resulting in a shimmering creature. Her partner piece, Chrysalis was an essential part of her development, but must now take a step back and allow her to shine.
Concrete, stone and glass were formed, allowed to set and ground and polished into shape. Many hours of work – and worth every minute of it!
Coloured concrete, glass, mirror and stone combined with enamel brush work.
