A portrait of my friend Tom – a man of many stories. When I used to wander along the shores of the broadwater at a civilised time, I would run into other regulars who took each morning. Tom was one of those lively characters. His eyes would light up whenever he saw me and he would regale me with stories about his past. From when he was a farming lad to his time as a soldier and now. Always colourful, always entertaining!
