A play on reflection and explanation of the variables involved when looking at mirror art. No experience can ever be replicated. The observer will always be a necessary participant in mirror art. Whether they see themselves or not, there are a myriad of variables that interfere with their perception of the piece.
I experimented with sandblasting for the first time. It provides texture and translucence without reflection, contrasting with mirror. Initially it was quite challenging to incorporate the layers required to create a full composition, but as time has gone by, it has become second nature to me.
