Artemis Rising

Mike from Vancouver, who was the recipient of Prey or Predator, went on to purchase  Forbidden Fruit I and commission Artemis Rising. He mentioned that he loved the moon and nudes… it seemed fitting to capture Artemis, the great huntress of the skies as she crossed the moon. It was also a fantastic excuse to experiment with more shimmering dichroic glass inlays.

Concrete was moulded over aluminium and rubber forms, before coloured concrete inlays were created. The concrete was then ground and polished back. This was followed by acid etching aluminium and recessing into the concrete. Enamel details were then brushed on.
