Echo

As a punishment from the gods for her incessant gossiping, Echo was only able to repeat the last two words spoken to her. If things weren’t difficult enough for a gorgeous nymph, she fell in love with Narcissus who only had eyes for himself.

The infatuated Echo faded from view when Narcissus caught his magnificent reflection in the waters of a pond and all that remained was her haunting whisper as she slipped away into the water.
